1. The DD/R has taken appropriate steps to insure
the timely preparation of Fitness Reports. As of this date
there are no delinquent reports within the DD/R.
2. We have just recently completed our plans for the
Did/R Career Service Board and subordinate panels. A copy
of the implementing Directive is attached for your interest
and information. The provision in this Directive for the
conduct of an annual competitive evaluation of all personnel
in all grades will be scheduled in accordance with the fitness
reporting periods for each grade. This particular aspect of
our board and panel activities will help to insure the quality
and timeliness of our Fitness Reports. In all matters con-
cerning personnel management, the DD/R Career Service Board,
which will be composed of senior command officers, will develop
for the DD/R, career service policy, program and procedures
and monitor their implementation.
