MEMORANDUM FOR: Deputy Director for Central Intelligence
SUBJECT: F-104 Aircraft
REFERENCE: Memorandum from DDCI to DD/R;
dated 12 April 1963 (ER 63-3022)
1. In response to your memorandum of 12 April reference
specially modified F-104 aircraft, I feel that the particular character-
istics of this aircraft would not contribute measurably to the intelligence
gathering function of the Agency with the possible exception of specially
configured flights over Cuba.
2. Such an aircraft might contribute measurably to the test and
development programs which are of major interest in such items as
pressure suits, ejection systems, parachutes, and photographic
techniques.
