DDR reported that the U-2 would arrive in tonight but that
wanted some delay on flying the mission. DCI directed DDR to fly
coverage out of as soon as possible. DDR was also instructed to
follow the development of a JCS contingency plan for coverage of Laos.
DCI mentioned his conversations with Land and Killian about
DCI reported briefly on the meeting yesterday to consider low-
level flights and urged the Staff to consider their operations as governed
by responsibility to the intelligence community to g.ther intelligence without
undue regard for extraneous factors, expecially political considerations.
