Subject: Cost Estimate for Schedule Improvement
on Four (4) "A" Follow-On Systems
Enclosed please find Cost Breakdown in the amount of
representative of the cost for accomplishing the
lens barrel transfer on camera S/N 21.
This estimate covers the additional cost over and above
the scope contracted for to allow for Perkin-Elmer to machine
a Tenzalloy barrel and transfer the lens elements of a GFP
3-inch F25 Geocon lens. The labor hours, as indicated, were
incurred by FSDS personnel on a trip to Wright Field to obtain
this lens, and the subcontract dollars shown are P & E's cost
to accomplish the barrel transfer.
Upon your review and approval of this estimate, I would
appreciate your concurrence as to crediting this amount to
the existing debit on this contract, as negotiated with you
