1. The purpose of this Technical Direetiv+e is to direct Fs.irc'r_ild Space and
defense Systems (FSDS) to replsce the e.~istir~; strip type temp sensors
on the "~." ;,3,merw systam *Ti Lr ~f cro system '_~' ~D-?000 buttor_ type temp
sensor and its ~~~ bridging circuit~f.
2. Justification
2.1 `phis button type temp sensor has a negligible self-heating character!-
and provides a truer temperature indication than the strip type sensor
with the self heating feature.
2.2 `'he button type can be calibrated easier and is 'being standardized
on other programs. '
