Meeting of SWNCC ad hoc committee in Mr. Stone's office (State, Room 159k) on Thursday disclosed continued disagreement but no member desired a split report. Basic disagree- ment lies in desire of the service representatives to provide for transition from peacetime to wartime status of permanent P.W. sub-com- mittee of SWNCC. 25X1A '~D2 NIR, Scientific, Russia. , ORE, has received draft statements from all a ncies except JRDB. Mr. Clark, JRDB is in liaison with 25X1A 3 Indoctrination of Foreign Service Intelligence Personnel. Let s dispatched to IAB members recommending a procedure to provide for interview with CIG, with Military and Naval Attaches (including Air) and senior State diplomatic representatives. GIG to promulgate internal procedures ( , OCD). 25X1A II. Projects planned; None. III. Projects initiated: None, IV. Projects completed: 1. Transfer of Geographic Intelligence personnel from State De- partment has collapsed. CIG now awaits further advances by State, if any. V. Projects to be completed this week: None, VI.
