SUBJECT: - Weekly Progress Report
DATE: October 28, 1946
1. Completed draft on proposed operating plan for imple-
menting the collection of information on Foreign Industrial Es-
tablishments together with a "want list" of categories of in-
formation desired.
2. Issued invitations to IAB representatives together with
representatives of Departments of Commerce, Bureau of Mines and
the Tariff Commission to meet at 1400 Wednesday, October 30, to
discuss above operating plan and enlarge if necessary upon each
agency's requirements,
3. Issued invitations to the Assistant Directom of Opera-
tions, Special Operations, ORE and OCD to attend meeting at 110
Thursday, October 31 to discuss an Intelligence Information Col-
lecting Plan pertaining to International conferences and'meetings.
4. Progress on the project of Intelligence Libraries tem-
porarily suspended pending activation of the Reference Branch of
ORE and the formulation of a more definite allocation-of fields
of responsibility, 25X1A
