1. Washington Document Center. Letters to Secretary: of War and Secretary o avy sent out 4 Novem er,1946 from CIG. No official replies as yet. Captain Murphy stated Bu Pers found it difficult to raise CIG personnel ceilings and suggested alternately that naval officers and men retained in service until 1 July,1947 be discharged now so as to permit their employment by CIG as civilians. Preliminary steps along these lines are being taken. 2. Industrial College Economic Studies. Answered their letter to e f feat-77a CI would provide economic studies when able to do so. Recommended they go direct to agencies in meanwhile. 3. Liaison` Contacts with Agencies. Wrote rough drafts of two Operations mos for liaisons of C&D and ORE. Will write preliminary memos to sgenoies requesting their prior approval. 4. Inter llnoe Terminology.
