1. In his report to the NIA at its 10th meeting on 26 June 1947, the
,Director stated: "Our big problem in the production field is the NIA require-
ment that the concurrence or comment of each IAB agency to each CI G intelligence
report must be obtained, excepting current intelligence reports. I plan to
review this situation personally with the IAB."
2. A meeting of the IAB has tentatively been set for 17 July. It is
requested that your office submit, for the possible use of the Director, a,. brief
paper outlining the problem confronting ORE and making proposals for correction.
This paper should be in such form that it may be readily adapted for circulation,
over the Director's signature, to the TAB to become an item on the next agenda.
