1. 1 think I have mentioned to you the *National Roster of
Scientific and Specialized Personnel" which I found of some
in 1941 in atteipting the establishment of the ?oreign
Service .diary for the State Department.
2. Dr. Montague has now informed me that he has learned
that the *National Roster of Scientific and Specialized Per-
a%mel" is being maintained bb? the United States Employment
Service, Department of Labor, the Director of the Roster being
fir. George A. Works.
3. There is a be" possibility that we might get line on
some ne-ded personnel by reference to the Roster which, as I
have said above, I found useful to some extent in the past.
