1. This office has a pressing requirement for a
reasonably current evaluation of the situation in Latin America
with particular emphasis on Soviet influences there. We are
advised that ORE 34-49,, "Soviet Objectives in Latin American,
is scheduled for publication some time in the near future.
2. It is requested that one copy of any draft or working
paper of the above publication be furnished this office for
retention or loan at the earliest date possible.
