President John F. Kennedy has ordered an

The President's ri'itler for a sweeping explora-
tion of this hush-hush agency will meet with
the approval of evetyone.
At the same time the executive order was
issued the President also announced that he
was naming a board of consultants on foreign
intelligence activities. Serving as chairman will
be Dr. Jomes R. KilIp Jr. of the Massachusetts
Institute of Technology.
? Doctor Kilian was. the first chairman of a
similar board establi'shed by former President
1 Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1956. Serving with the
doctor on this important board will be General
Maxwell D. Taylor, former army chief of staff.
Others named include Dr. William 0. Baker,
Lt. Gen. James H. Doolittle, Dr. William L.
Langer and Robert D. 'Murphy. The President
explained that the board may be expanded to
include others in the near future.
At least action has been, instituted to try
to salvage and shore up our foreign information..
