SUBJECT : Document Division. Activity Report for Quarter Ended
3~J September 1958.
1. The following reports are attached:
A. Documents and Non-CIA Cables Received I July - 30 tember.
B. Statistical Report for que rl er ended 30 September 1958.
2- The toiume of documents received, and processed during the quarter has
been about average. Material received disseminated., indexed and typed
within the scheduled 'emits. During the quarter titles were expanded for
over 50% of the documents coded.
3. In September the Cable Section instituted a program of rotation of personnel
which had, eliminated all overttme during the normal. 5-day rte, Overtinq
will be continued. on Saturdays to satisfy custacncr needs.
4. [~ly Reports: A contract was signed with H and Company in
September for the indexing of three issues of the Deily Reports for
a trial period of 3 months- Index cards are being received daily and are
filed in the Library. FOIAB3B1
5. IPI Interviews: CODIB hiss authorized personal Interviews for en I'I survey
in the intelligence ccrmunity. Interviews Were conducted during September
and are continuing in October. A binary type questionnaire is used for
these interviews. On completion results will be tabulated and presented to
CODIB.
6. Publications in Process:
Union List of Intelli nce Serial Publications The first revision of the
Union List-16- in progreas with a possi,b a anuary publication date.
