1. Effective I .April 1963, the Technical Data Center (TDC), Hq Space
Systems Division, Los Angelca 45, California will discontinue their
distribution of BSD contractor data and reports. Effective the same
date and thereafter initial distribution will be made directly from
the respective contractors.
2. To implement the change, this SPO is required to develope detailed
contractual direction to those contractors for which we have prime
responsibility, i.e., Martin Company, Ralph M. Parsons, Paul Hardeman
and American Machine and ioundrjr. A critical review, therefore, of
distribution requirements is tit?.ely.
3. Attachment I reflects the current TDC distribution to your activity
of Titan I and Titan II data anc. reports from the above named contractors.
Your continued receipt of data from these four contractors is dependent
upon your action as follows:
a. Review the attached distribution list and determine your continued
need for data and reports currently being received.
b. Submit specific justification of your need for each series of
data and/or reports which you determine as still required. Distribution
will be approved only for those'activities which show a pertinent need
for the data requested.
c. Attach to your return justification a separate list showing data
title, originating contractor, name and/or mail symbol of each recipient,
complete mailing address and number of copies required.
d. Forward your reply to IISTKB (Lt James, ext 8L66) by 1 March 1963.
No reply by that date will constitute deletion of your activity from
present distribution.
1-. Your cooperation in furnishing us with your minimum essential require-
ments promptly and accurately in accordance with the above instructions, now
and on a continuing basis as changes occur, will help greatly to assure
efic1 ent and uninterrupted distribution service.
