I have issued Amendment No. 2 to our contract with GE-Tempo at Santa
Barbara providing for the subcontract overrun, the field engineering support
at G-D, Fort Worth and for the change in scope of the Feasibility Hardware
to incorporate circuitry providing independence of scintillation.
In your message 1761 you provided $21,662 for the overrun and $6,239.
for the Motorola support at G-D, Fort Worth. In your message 0451 you
Provided $1,240 for the change in the scope of the Feasibility Hardware.
Actually the $1,240 was short by $275 needed to cover GE's advance engineering,
G&A, and fee. Notwithstanding this very small shortage I have proceeded with
the Amendment to GE. In any event as I check back on all the money you have
made available since the beginning of this contract I find that we have an
overage of approximately $1,196 based upon the fact that we saved some money
during negotiations. This additional money results from the several messages
providing money since the inception of this contract. These are as follows:

Our total requirements for money for this contract to date including
all known changes comes to $309,374.00. The difference between the two
would, of course, be $1,196.00 depending upon the way finance keeps their
records.
I would appreciate your checking this when you have a chance and if in
fact the finance people do not show an unobligated balance of $1,196 would
you send me an additional $275.00.
