Left with William Darden, Senate Armed Services Committee staff, Senator Symington's letters to Senators Russell and Stennis and obtained receipts for them. 25X1 Z. I Paid a courtesy call on Herb Jolovitz, in the office of Senator Stephen Young. 25X1 3? Jay Sourwine, Senate Internal Security 25X1 Subcommittee staff, called requesting the English language text of the memoranda. I said I would check and be back in touch with him. 25X1 4? Mr. Cody, Civil Service Commission, called to indicate he had received our revision of our proposed annuity adjustment legislation and had found it fully satisfactory. 25X1 5? Called William Darden and advised him that the Director had talked with Senator Richard Russell last week asking if the Agency could be of any assistance by bringing him up to date on the world situation. Apparently the Senator indicated he might be in Washington early this week and appeared, possibly, to be interested in a briefing. The Director had asked that we follow up with Darden stating the Director would be happy to come down and see the Senator. Darden stated he planned to talk to the Senator later in the day and would mention this to him and would let us know if he plans to be in Washington this week. 25X1 6 ? Mr. Dean Sharp, Assistant Counsel, Senate Antitrust and Monopoly Legislation Subcommittee, called and advised that he would Iie to 3iscuss certain allegations that -Have been made concerning Soviet insurance and reinsurance activities. From the discussion, it appeared that this is a continuation of similar discussions of about a year ago with this Agency.
