(Added to distr. 24 Mar 61 - Call fr George Lewis of
Committee to Brazilian Desk, State who relayed request to
us. We called and gave request to Mr. George Cary, Leg
Counsel. After discussing this with Mr. Houston, Gen.
Counsel it was agreed that it would be disadvantageous to
the Agency to refuse but that we should also offer it to
Democratic National Committee not to show bipartisanship
Therfore, the Democratic Committee was also added to
