1. On 13 May 1965, the undersigned accompanied
25X1 of the Legislative Counsel's office
brief a Ulenn amith and James Kendall of the staff of
the Senate Preparedness investigating Subcommittee.
The briefing, which was on an all-source basis, primarily
red the most recent information on the Chinese and

2. As the discussion ended, Mr. Smith particularly
expressed interest in the Soviet ABU situation, and asked
