At I I request we have prepared a cost estimate to
cover the modification of a tracker for use in the driver training on
the new vehicle. This proposal does not consider mounts, windows, or
equipment other than the Model 501 tracker modified to provide an optical
system for infinity focus without a dome, and increasing the I.M.C.
amplitude for greater V/H rates. The tracker will be identical and
parts will be interchangeable with present trackers except for some I.M.C.
parts and the optical system. Outline drawing #501-0058 will provide
information regarding outline dimensions and outline data.
Our proposal is based on a fixed-price contract and permission
to use existing tooling and equipment available from previous and
present contracts. We would suggest a contract which provides separately
Delivery could begin six months after receipt of a contract
or authorization to proceed - at a rate of one per month in the case of
three units and at the rate of two per month in the case of ten units.
