?Premier David Ben Gurion of
aIsrael headed tonight for. New
York and a controversial meet-
ing with Chancellor Adenauer
of West Germany.
1- Mr. Ben-Gurion is expected

!Astoria Hotel, where both are
'staying, early tomorrow, al-
though neither the Israeli nor
the German embassies would
oonfirm Abe plan for a meeting.
The Israeli Premier would only
never confirmed meetings until
after they had taken place.

wing nationalist Herut, have
been bitterly opposing any
meeting of the hes of govern-
