Under the direction of General W. B. Smith, America finally
is eirieiging-ivith,.a greatly improved intelligence service. This
month7Uppards of 100 honor;graduates from this nation's uhi-
'versities onen'Special training. There will be a fifth women, and
the rematin-d_ er young Men, some of whom hav-e- worked hard for
biairdegrees awarded in the' better universities. ,e

Intelligence Service-long has been the favorite assignment of
General Smith.-Efrierging- from World war I, as a second lieu.,
