AT FIRST glance, holly
and chopsticks may' seem an
odd combination. But, the
two joined 'forces and made
a delightful young folks'
? party Saturday evening at
the Fort Myer quarters of
' Air . Force Gen. and Mrs.
Curtis LeMay.
The house was decked
With boughs of holly, plus a
stunning floor-to-c eiling
tree trimmed in silver and
variOus shades of pink, for
the event given by the Le-
Mays' home-for-the-holidays
*daughter, Jane.
But, when the 50 guests
? lined up for supper, there
wasn't a turkey or cranberry
In sight. On the buffet was
a delectable Chinese dinner.
There were egg roll. stuffed
with pheasant, Duck Can-
tonese, chicken chow mein
. with almonds and sweet-sour
perk. And, dished up right
along with the exotic
Orien-
tal dishes, were the chop-
sticks. . ?
? "I'LL HAVE to go out in
the kitchen and use a fork
or I won't get anything to
eat," cried pretty Katie Ca-

Air Force Qapt. Dick Twin-
ing (his father is Chairman
of the Joint Chiefs) gave
Katie and a few others a--
quick lesson in the chop-
stick arts. Dick is just back
from duty in the Hawaiian,
islands.
Eating their supper to-
gether were Robin Van Hou-
ten-whose father, is Com-
manding General of the Mil-
itary District of Mashing-
ton and Clay Byers. Robin,.
a student at darlton College,
said she was transferring to
Georgetown University to
enter their Foreign, Service
School. ?
, Hostess Jane?who wore a
Christmas green dress for
her party?ate her supper
with Annapolis Midshipman
Chris Naguin. A student at
Stephens in Missouri, Jane
had asked some of her class-
mates to drop by for the fun.
Among them were blonde
Chartley Ward?in a red
velvet sheath trimmed in
White mink and 'Sabra
:Krepper, who lives. in Ciik,
einnati.

BEFORE suppEri, the
guests were entertained by
the "Four Saints"?a'coinedy
quartet who entered the Air
Force eight months ago.
They enlisted as a- -group
right from a night club en-
gagement at Las Vegas.'
