NOVEMBER 1960 - ALL AGENCIES
In November 1960, 32, 519 employees (all agencies) were assigned overseas. (This information is based
on the June 30, 1960, overseas civilian complement). 4, 550 were ineligible for quarters allowances. The
Allowances Division records indicated that 1. 23% occupied temporary lodgings and 11, 189 were occupying
privately leased quarters and receiving a quarters allowance. Thus, 16, 380 must be assumed to be living in
government-owned or government -leased quarters.
