This office has received a paper from your office entitled "Threats to U-2 Aircraft in the Middle East". This paper was requested by the Intelligence Division in conjunction with certain planning currently under study. The paper prepared by your office is an excellent piece of work which fulfilled our requirement on the Middle East most adequately. 2. There are, however, certain other areas of interest. Papers similar to that which you prepared on the Middle East would be most appreciated. The areas in which we are most interested at present, apart from the current area of operations, are as follows: a. Africa (North, Central, and South) b. Latin America (Central and South America, including the Dominican Republic and Haiti) c. Far East (Burma, Cambodia, and Indonesia).
