1.1 Met with Mr. Peter Gerardi, Technical
Consultant, House Science and Astronautics Committee, and reviewed
with him the three-page blind memorandum study, "Production of
Iron and Steel in Communist China Compared with Japan, France, and
the UK". This was a follow up to the 'informal briefing of Chairman
Miller and members of the Committee on 17 March. Mr. Gerardi
agreed it would be appropriate for the memorandum to be retained in
Agency files. Should it be required for personal review by the
Chairman or a Committee member, he will be pleased to call and
request it.

Mrs. Johnson, Assistant to Senator Spong. and provided her with two
Agency clerical and professional brochures and application forms. In
response to questioning about the Agency, I also provided Mrs. Johnson
with the unclassified Agency brochure and reviewed with her assistance
we can provide the Senator's office.
