Also delivered to Mr. Darden the copy of the answers to the questions contained in Senator Fulbright's letter of 20 February 1967. Copies of these documents were also delivered to Mr. Woodruff, Senate Appropriations Committee staff. 15. Talked to Mr. Russ Blandford, House Armed Services Committee -staff, concerning the Rivers/Bates letter of 7 March to the Director indicating that some of the questions will undoubtedly involve special clearances and I doubted if George Norris had those. Mr. Blandford suggested that if we have any problems of this nature to deal directly with him. 16. Delivered to Mr. Robert Michaels, House Appropriations Committee staff, the paper prepared by John Clarke dealing with certain of our major CA activities, and a breakdown of our over-all budget adjustments through reserve releases, etc. 17.1 Delivered to Lee Williams, in the office of Senator J.W. Fulbright, an extract from Who's Who in America on Walt Rostow which had been requested by the Senator. 18. Delivered to Mr. Flick, in the office of Senator Thomas Kuchel, one of our Agency brochures. 19.1 Based on a review of a listing supplied by the Department of State, of individuals injured in the Saigon Chancery bombing and with the concurrence of advised Mr. Robert Hull, Foreign Affairs Personnel Planning Staff, Depart- ment of State, that we had no objection to the Department providing the information on that listing to AID as background to the Vietnam War Amendments. 4 TLAL 25X1 Approved For Release 2004/05/12 : CIA-RDP69B00369R000100220014-6
