In response to his call to Mr. Warner, stopped by to see David Niklaus, Assistant to Senator Kuchel, regarding constituent correspondence relating to Peace Council of the German Democratic Republic. Mr. Niklaus was tied up in an extended meeting. An open appointment to see him during the day tomorrow was scheduled. 6. As a follow-up to the telephone reference from Leo Irvin, Chief Counsel, -Iouse Committee on Ways & Means, of yesterday afternoon, received a call from is on his way to New York City and expects to be returning to the Washington area Wednesday or Thursday and will call on his return. 7. Made arrangements with the House Armed Services staff officers for o visit the Subcommittee hearing room, 2212 Rayburn Building, in preparation for Thursday morning's briefing. 8. Miss Carol Blades, in the Office of Congressman Charles Vanik (D., Ohio), called to explain that they had mislaid their copies of the overing the period 26 March through 8 May. I advised Miss Blades that we would be happy to supply these issues if they are available. Dadvise us if any copies are missing from the set they will be forwarding.
