1. By referenced memorandum the OSA Contracting
Officer redelegated Contracting Officer authority to
OSP Contracting Officer through the period
31 December 1966. This delegation was an extension of
prior authorization.
2. This delegation was "time limited" pending a
current review of Agency Procurement Policy by the
Inspector General's Office.
3. It is not anticipated that the findings and
recommendations resulting from this review will be

future. In view of this, it is recommended that the
attached memorandum extending Mr. Contracting
Officer authority through 31 December 1967 be approved

1. Referenced Redelegation of Contracting Off iaer
Authority is hereby extended from 31 December 1966 to 31
December 1967, at which later date the matter will again
be considered as to whether a redelegation or separate
original delegation of Contracting Officer authority seems
then appropriate. Except for this extension of time
effectivity, referenced redelegation remains unchanged.
2. This time extension in being effected to await the
implementation of findings and recommendation made by a
special group functioning under the Inspector General's
Office with respect to a survey of Agency procurement.
