MEMORANDUM FOR THE DIRECTOR
1. This memorandum recommends action.
2. I have no substantive criticism.
P. 2, first sentence: Recommend putting the word "some" before the
word "magazine" in the second line so that it reads "in some
magazine articles."
P. 2, last sentence: Place the word "Soviet" before "satellite" so
that it reads "and its Soviet satellites."
P. 3, first sentence, second paragraph: Change "this" to "our" so it
reads "in answer to this one may answer that if our."
P. 3, last sentence; Substitute for "nightmare" the word "possibility."
P. 4, first sentence, second line: "of us" is superfluoai
P. 4, third line from the bottom: "free world" should be capitalized.
P. 5, the first sentence of Paragraph 2 is too long and too'confused
in speaking of "its weapon of attack for defense . " Recommend
rewording to more clearly express the meaning intended.
P. 7, second line, first sentence: Place the article "the":before
"Middle" so it reads "and the Middle Eastern crisis."i
Pp. 14 and 15: You speak of "Eastern Austria." Is this a 6orrect
expression? (Western Austria--the Russians occupied the area
from the Enns River to beyond St. Polten, which is certainly not
"Eastern Austria."
