AMERICAN SOCIETY
FOR INDUSTRIAL
SECURITY
On January 21, 1955, the
American Society for Indus-
trial Security (ASIS) was or-
ganized to answer the need
for a national society uniting
industrial security officials in-
to one recognized professional
association. Presently, the
Society has a national mem-
bership of more than 2300,
with chapters in 58 cities.
Each year, the Society holds
a national seminar to bring
together both members and
guests who want to share,
evaluate, and extend know-
ledge in the, various aspects
of the Industrial Security
field.
The 8th National Seminar is
dedicated to an effective chan-
neling of security information
to meet current and future
needs because industrial
security has a vital and ex-
panding role in insuring that
America-what it is and what
it stands for-survives.
