Mr. Kinnaly feels that since she is approaching retirement age, the subject of what he considers to be along-overdue promotion becomes increasingly important to her. I told Mr. Kinnaly STATINTL it was my impression that we had done everything we could for 0 25X1 STATSPEC 25X1 when he had contacted us about her staying in ome months ago, but that I would look into the situation and be in touch with him . I told Miss Patterson I would check on this and be in touch with her. Mr. Simmons, State Department, called to say they were preparing some material for the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and desired our approval to send to the Committee an Intelligence Memorandum, ER IM 68-10, on the subject of North Korea's Foreign Trade. I talked with Mr. Simmons and learned that this item had not been specifically requested by the Committee, but was being considered by the Department in response to a general request from the Committee for information on this subject. I told Mr. Simmons that we would prefer that this item not be included in material furnished to the Foreign Relations Committee in the absence of a specific request. in the office of Representative William E.
