Approved For'~clea~e 21)114/05/05 : -C1A-RDP701300318R0`00200160018-0 JOURNAL OFFICE OF LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL Monday - 17 October 1966 STAT STAT STAT advise that eon Herman, Legislative Reference Service of the Library of Congress, has indicated a strong interest in including in the Joint Economic Committee's upcoming study on Communist China the Agency's unclassified intelligence report entitled "Communist China's Balance of Payments, 1950-1965. " I talked with Mr. Herman later in the day about this. He was very complimentary regarding the report and said he would like very much to use it with attribution to the Agency but would, of course, respect our wishes in the matter. I told Mr. Herman I would look into this and be in touch with him further. 3. I I Met with Mrs. Coralee Bull, Assistant to Representative L. Mendel Rivers, who advised that the Chairman was absent from the office due to a cold; and, in consequence, she advised checking with her again on Thursday morning for scheduling an appoint- ment for Admiral Taylor. STAT 4.1 1 Met with Miss Shelley Pyle, Secretary to Mr. Earl Morgan, House Armed Services Committee, who advised that Mr. Morgan was absent from the office due to a cold. Scheduling of a briefing on Soviet commercial aircraft development for Representative Price will be delayed until Mr. Morgan's return to the office.
