I I Received a call from Edward Bauser, Executive Director, Joint Committee on Atomic Enera r omm; e , who said that Senator Pastore had expressed concern to him about the U. Bauser recalled Mr. Maury's conversation with George Murphy last week on Romania and he was interested in knowing the status of that situation. I told him this had quieted down somewhat since Mr. Maury's conversation with Murphy. Bauser said he was preparing a letter to State or AEC regarding the Romanian agreement and might be back in touch with us when this letter was in draft form. Senate Preparedness Investigation Subcommittee, and made tentative arrangements for him to visit the Agency for luncheon and briefings next Tuesday. cc: Ex/ Di r- Compt O/DDCI DD/ I DD/S DD/S&T Mr. Houston Mr. Goodwin OPPB EA/DDP Item 3 Legislative Counsel Approved For Release {2006/01/30: CIA-RDP70B00338R000200180010-6 A Y
