Jay Sourwine, Senate Internal Security Subcommittee staff, called to inquire whether the Agency would have any objection or question concerning the suggested appearance of Mr. Sidney Goldberg, Publisher and Director of the Government Employee Exchange, before the Committee. I thanked Mr. Sourwine for his call and advised I would relay the question. See Memorandum for the Record. Dr. Charles Reichardt, Director, Division of Intelligence, AEC, ca e to say that today Mr. Howard Brown, Assistant General Manager of AEC, had responded to a recent query from John Conway, of the Joint Committee on Atomic Energy staff, with a letter stating that the AEC had reviewed in the State Department a number of documents which found nothing therein ll'I of significance. fir. Reichardt added that he understood that Carl ato Waske (Assistant to the Secretary of Defense for Atomic Energy) was writing a similar letter to Conway.
