Y. ), called concerning the who may be interested in employment possibilities with' t e Agency. The young man (who was not identified) is a recent graduate of the Citadel and is apparently eligible for the draft. Miss Solomon inquired as to whether Agency employment constituted sufficient grounds for draft exemption. I told her it did not but in response to her question indicated that we would be happy to arrange a personal interview for the young man if that appeared desirable. Miss Solomon thanked me and said she would call me again if an interview was desired. Miss Doris Solomon, in the office I Talked with Dr. Charles Reichardt, Director, Division of Intelligence, Ah;C, about our common problems with the Joint Committee on Atomic Energy staff. He has learned that John Conway, Executive Director of the JCAE (presumably on the initiative of George Murphy), has sent letters to the State and Defense Departments requesting written responses to certain questions relating to the security of U. S. atomic information. Reichardt expects to receive copies of the responses by State and Defense and will share this information with us. Reichardt said he has gotten from the State Department a list of the titles of 50 documents reportedly compromised in the case. 25X1 25X1 In response to his request delivered to Mr. Vincent Aug Here, ie oreign Operations, House Subcommittee on Foreign Operations and Government Information, two world maps for Subcommittee use. 25X1 I IMet with Mr. Philip Kelleher, House Armed Services Committee staff, and briefed him on Soviet rotation of units of the Mediterranean squadron. Mr. Kelleher noted during the conver- sation the Chairman had returned to his home district this morning and does not plan to return to the area until after the elections.
