Thursday - 8 June 1967
Met with Miss Marge Anderson, in the
office of Congressman Ogden Reid (R., N. Y. ), and advised her that we would
tentatively accept the invitation to meet with a group of 30 students from Good
Counsel College. See Journal of 5 June 1967. I requested a hold-down on
publicity concerning this and Miss Anderson agreed.
I Met with Congressman Donald E.
Lukens t.K., io concerning questions he had directed to the Director with
respect to the National Student Association to determine if our response to
date had satisfied his requirements. Lukens still has some questions regarding
CIA participation and he agreed that possibly it might be helpful if we
could get him together with our people and asked if I would work on something
along this line the week of 19 June. See Memorandum for the Record.

Armed Services Committee staff, the newspaper clippings which he had
furnished for our information.

with Da arper, Legislative Counsel of the House of Representatives.
Mr. Carper is the principal assistant assigned to the House Committee on
Post Office and Civil Service. Mr. Carper was briefed on Agency interest
in the current Social Security amendments and follow on legislation that will
be proposed by Civil Service for consideration of the Committee later in the
year. Mr. Carper appreciated the advance information and will keep us
advised at such time as they start to work on the legislation.
