Met with Mrs. Barbara Rathe, Executive
Secretary to Representative Hale Boggs (D., La.), as a follow-up to my
meeting of last week with Mr. Boggs concerning "constituent" correspondence
relating to the Garrison allegations of lack of cooperation by Federal agencies.
After checking the floor Mrs. Rathe advised that Mr. Boggs would be involved
in a series of meetings right up to the time that he would be departing from
the Hill this evening. Even though he has a tight schedule tomorrow, she is
sure that he would like to see me but that it is not possible to schedule a time
at the moment. She will call me at such time as Mr. Boggs is available.
Met with Mrs. Diana Abbazia, Office
25X1 Manager for Representative Theodore Kupferman (R., N. Y.). Mrs. Abbazia
advised that the Representative is in New York, but will be returning around
noon tomorrow. Since she was familiar with his letter to the Director, she
advised that she was sure that he would like to see me as soon as possible
and scheduled me for 2:00 p.m., 6 June 1967.

activities. Mr. Godard appears to be a rather competent individual with some
newspaper background. He is new on Mr. Gibbons staff. No further action
is indicated on the constituent correspondence involved.
Met with Mr. Stephen Godard, Assistant
to Representative Sam Gibbons (D., Fla.), as a follow-up to his call of
Friday and provided a copy of the unclassified pamphlet on the Central
Intelligence Agency and discussed with him in some detail the Agency's no
comment policy on newspaper and -other speculations relating to Agency
