ADDENDUM TO JOURNAL
OFFICE OF LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL
Friday - 17 February 1967
1. Mrs. Dukov in the office of Representative
Gerald Ford called in connection with one who wishes
to speak to someone in the Agency when he is in Washington next week.
Apparently had been involved somehow with intelligence activities.
I said I would look into this and advise.
2. Mr. William Darden, Senate Armed Services
Committee staff, called in behalf of Chairman Russell asking if the Agency
could meet with the Subcommittee on Tuesday, 21 February at 10:30 a. m.
After checking with the Director, Mr. Darden was told this time would
be convenient for the Director.
3. Senator Gale McGee sent word that he
would very much like to have available acopy of the RAMPARTS article,
if it were available. This was furnished to him with a request that he
handle it appropriately.
4. The Director met with the CIA Subcommittee
of House Armed Services at 8:00 a. m. See Memorandum for the Record.
5. Talked with Boyd Crawford, Staff
Administrator, House Foreign Affairs Committee, indicating that the
Director wished appropriate arrangements in connection with his briefing
next week made with Dr. Morgan. Crawford assured me that Dr. Morgan
would cooperate but suggested that I deal with him personally. It was also
agreed that we would tentatively set the afternoon of Tuesday, 21 February,
since this was the only available time to the Committee and Mr. Crawford
knew the Chairman wished to have it as soon as possible.
