This Office believes that proposals to increase interatemie of infomation at the working level within the intellisence community are sbisys worthy of exploration. In this connection the referenced recommendation from the Acting Director of Intelligence SAC, con. cerning annlyst.to-analyst notes warrants further confaeration. 2. We believe this should not be implemented in the immediate future however since an agreement to exchange inrormation on an analyst.to.analyst heels implies an exchange or detailed information This Office is most interested in the development of additiocal dis- auasions with SAC analysts as a follow up to the valuable SAC brief. tug session on Soviet SAK sites held in Octdber with CIA officers. In addition the monthly Air ;trice Working Group meeting.; should be developed and expanded to cope with this need as expressed by SAC. Analysts fr.= CR who have attended the Working Group meetiogs on aircraft and on guided missiles and astronautics indicate that these meetinge have been extremely useful. In their opinion such meetings currently serve to facilitate exchange of the type of information suggested by the SAC memorandum. 3. We should be pleased to consider further ezltttcation this type of analyst.to.analyst note proposal. We believe the present, ad hoc informal discussions with SAC analysts as well as the existing arrangement of Air Force Working Group meetings could meet most of our needs for exchange of information at a 11711.? mum cost of time to analysts and to the control cbannels. 4. We cannot comment on the special problems associated with the geographic intelligence support of SAC since other parts of the agency are involved in this activity.
