Approved For Release 2007/02/07 : CIA-RDP71 B00364R000200010~74-4 CONF6DENIIAL, 3 April 1969 MEMORANDUM FOR THE RECORD SUBJEQTi Admiral Raborn's Testimony of July 19, 1965 1. Met with Mr. Carl Marcy, Staff Director, Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and discussed with him Chairman Fulbright's letter of April Z concerning the transcript of the DCI testimony in the executive hearing of July 19, 1965. Carl indicated that he had not refreshed his memory of the actual transcript of Admiral Raborn's testimony but that if it involved Agency activities and operations, he would not see a problem in withholding release. He requested, how- ever, that we provide a response in writing to the Chairman setting forth some specifics as to why the Agency is unable to sanitize and release the transcript. ' 2. Mr. Marcy noted that letters had gone out requesting review of transcripts of testimony on the Dominican crisis to Mr. Rogers, Mr. Laird, and Mr. Munoz-Marine, as well as to Mr. Helms, and that after response from these individuals, the Committee will be drawing together the material from the hearings to see what they have prior to final determination on publication. 3. Mr. Marcy passed on for the Director's information alone, the reason for renewed Committee interest in these transcripts. See Memorandum for the Director dated 3 April 1969.
