Director as indicated in paragraph 2.
2. The Mansfield Resolution was passed over on a Senat _:
Calendar call yesterday. As you have been informed by Senator Erowland,
it is unlikely that the bill will come up for Floor action before the Easter
recess (March 29 to April 9). There is always a possibility, how =er,
that this schedule may be altered, and it is therefore recommendo-c. that
you have a discussion with Senator Saltonstall if time ermits Pr cr to

your departure on the ossibilit of persuading certain Republican
Senators to withdraw their support for the Resolution. Attached hereto is
