In view of the somewhat joint CIA/USAF nature of the DDS&T/OSA programs and Air Force vital interest, in addition to ours, in reports, we normally follow the procedures outlined below in accidents /incidents involving OSA aircraft: a. USAF aircraft assigned to OSA activities: The incident/ accident is investigated and a report rendered by a board of Air Force personnel in accordance with Air Force Regulation 127-4, "Investiga- tion and Reporting-of U.S.A.F. Aircraft Accidents/Incidents". b. OXCART: Incidents /accidents involving the OXCART aircraft are investigated and reported upon by a specially augmented board of nt in i pme cleared Air Force personnel (familiar with technical equ SAF , use usuall from the Office of the Inspector General, U X1 NRO in accordance with AFR-127-4. U-2: Incidents /accidents involving the U-2 are investigated by a board of Air Force personnel (familiar with technical equip- ment in use) from OSA and technical personnel from the Lockheed Aircraft Corporation and elsewhere, as required.
