Approved For Release 2000/08/26 : CIA-RDP71 R00140A000100080107-0 6 September 1966 NOTE FOR: Mr. Duckett It I contacted the various offices last week as you suggested to get a count on the numbers planning to attend Bud's Farewell Party. I discovered in some instances that the word apparently wasn't being passed along and in other cases that there was some confusion as to who was invited to attend and questions on location, time, type of affair, etc. It was apparent that some written word had to be made available to each Office, and I did this promptly. However, only one copy was circulated in each case to keep within the decision pre- viously reached that there would be no broad distribution of circular-type information. 2. I know that the price of $4. 50 or $5. 00 was under consideration, but in view of the contingencies which may arise it seemed better from ?he start to use the upper figure of $5. 00 as the basic cost and this should give us some maneuvering room. 3. We have gotten some preliminary reports on numbers planning to attend as follows; OSI - 30 people OCS - 14 people OSP - 19 people The immediate Office Staff should provide a very good turn out just from preliminary reaction to our notice. As you know, OSI is having a private party for Bud, and this will cut into the numbers who might have attended the 24 September party. However, we are still a y? getting pretty fair representation with 30 planning to attend. We are continuing to maintain contact with each office and will check with them again on the 9th. 4.. Would you have a moment to iscuss this anytime today? 25X1A Approved For Release 2000/08/26 : CIA-RDP71 R00140A000100080107-0
