During the past week, I decided to accept
an offer from the Hughes Aircraft Company to become
their Vice President for Engineering. .I--csnsider
it a distinct privilege to have served the past
four years with the CIA.
My present deputy, Mr. Carl E. Duckett,
will become Acting DD/S&T on 23 September, which
will be my last duty day. I know he will appreciate,
as I have, your strong support to the scientific
and technical programs of this fine Agency.
