MEMORANDUM FOR: Mr. J. S. Earman
Jack:
I cleared with Carter Bowles, the local lawyer for
the Dulles estate, delivering the screened papers to Mrs. Dulles.
He saw no problem with this. He did, however, raise the ques-
tion of whether we had found any of the Sullivan & Cromwell
documents. I said you were aware of the question, but had
not come across any such documents as yet. He said his files
indicated the firm's documents were in the chrono files, particu-
larly drawer one, which seems to be a time prior to Mr. Dulles'
arrival in Washington, and he thought perhaps in succeeding
drawers there might be odds and ends. I said you would be
looking for any such material and we would let them know.
