1. (Secret - JGO) Received a call from Mrs. Mary McLaughlin,
Senate Foreign Relations Committee staff, who requested the transcripts
of the Director's testimony of 3 March and 13 March 1970 for use by
the Committee during the day tomorrow.
2. (Internal Use Only - JGO) Talked to Mrs. Doris McCracken,
House Foreign Affairs Committee staff, and received from her the
travel itinerary of Representative Charles Diggs (D. , Mich.) and Melvin
Benson, of the Committee staff. Africa Division, has been
advised.
25X1A 3. (Internal Use Only - JGO) Talked t NSA, at
25X1A various times during the day concernin Senate Judiciary Committee
handling of S. 782 (the Ervin bill), advised that Mr. P. J.
Mode, assistant to Senator Bayh (D., Ind. ), has replaced Larry Conrad
in the handling of the bill for Senator Bayh.

4. (Secret - JGO) OSA, called and
advised that General John C. Giraudo, De ut Director, Air Force
Legislative Liaison, was briefed o on 30 March 1970 in
connection with query received by the Air Force from House Armed
Services Committee concerning recently reported SR-71 accident
history.
5. (Internal Use Only - LLM) Spoke to John Lofton, staff
member of the Republican Conference Committee, and told him we
would provide him tomorrow with certain unclassified material
relating to pollution in Communist countries, (See Journal item of
30 March 1970.)
