10. (Unclassified - GLC) Jack Leahy, Congressional Relations
Department of State, called to talk about the case of He
said the House Internal Security Subcommittee had been in touch with
State on this case and the Leahy is not
familiar with the new staff of the House Committee so I discussed with
him our recent meetings with them and the cooperative attitude which
they wn. Leahy said the Committee staff is interested in talking
wit ho is now in New York and their Soviet desk asked him to
talk to the Committee staff about the case. Leahy wanted to know if this
was a case which is under our control. I told him I thought not but I
would check on this and be back in touch with him.
