1. Talked to Representative John O.
Marsh (D., Va.) who had some interesting impressions of the POW
film which he sawon TV last night which he thought might be worth
checking out. I passed his comments to SAVA.
2. Called Clifford Gaucher, Administrative
Assistant to Representative Philip J. Philbin, regarding a problem with
our retirement bill. Gaucher said Philbin, with whom I, had discussed
the matter by phone on 24 December, had us very much in mind and
already called Gaucher to alert him to the fact that we would be in
touch with Philbin immediately upon his arrival in Washington,
probably on the morning of 29 December.
