7. (Internal Use Only - LLM) At the invitation of the Senate
Armed Services Committee staff, reviewed the proposed Committee
report in the Committee office on the CIA Retirement Act amendments.
The proposed report was identical to the draft report we had given to
Ed Braswell at his request on 3 December with the addition of one
sentence to the explanation of the ceiling increase to the effect that
without the proposed relief the Agency would not be able to accommodate
all projected retirees through 30 June 1974. Later I advised Phyllis
Bacon, on the Committee staff, of two typographical errors made in the
Committee print-up of the bill, and she thanked us for calling this to her
attention.
