9. (Secret - JGO) Met with Mr. Ralph Preston, House Appropriations
Committee staff, after the Subcommittee briefing by General Cushman.
Mr. Preston said he thought the briefing had gone exceedingly well. There
are no followup items.
10. (Internal Use Only - JGO) I delivered General Cushman's letter
to the Vice President and the Speaker of the House concerning the submission
of proposed legislation amending the Central Intelligence Agency retirement
system to the office of the Parliamentarian a Senate and of the House
of Representatives. Together wit I also met with Ed Braswell,
Chief of Staff, Senate Armed Services Committee, and discussed the
proposed legislation with him. See Memorandum for the Record.
